  • One of a Kind

    Every one of these zinnias will never exist again. Zinnias produce seeds that are not exact clones of the parent flower. A lesson in being present.

    Reaching for the Sun

    These Pro-cut White sunflowers towered 7-8 feet high in the garden. Gleaming in the sun, they were covered in bees. Pure joy.

    Ranunculus

    The most gorgeous salmon orange colored ranunculus, they bloom in that pause between early and late spring flowers, bringing color to bare garden beds.

    Whimsy

    Did you know that solitary bumble bees love to sleep tucked inside cosmo blooms? Every night I walk the garden whispering goodnight.

    Summer Icon

    Sunflowers will forever be the flower of summer. Each summer I eagerly await the first blooms. While I grow several varieties, these will forever be a favorite.

    Smile Makers

    Grown from seed, these little mignon dahlias were beautiful and the bees loved them but sadly, the tubers did not survive the winter. Happy this small painting documents their existence.

    Heavenly

    Late season freezing temperatures often take these from me before they bloom, but when they do, I take every opportunity to enjoy and paint these poetic, heavenly scented blooms.

    The Dance

    It’s a gift to watch the color shift in these apricot desire tulips each day. I was chasing the rainbow of colors in each petal, nature is quite the artist.

    The Space Between

    Each spring the studio is filled with peonies, the fragrance is intoxicating. I love when they are in the marshmallow stage just ready to burst open. A lady bug was flying around the studio, so I included her in the painting.

    Platinum Blonde Dahlia

    Dahlias never cease to amaze me with the absolute joy they project. So many forms and colors, I want them all, but sadly my garden is only so big. This variety is happiness on a stem.

    Red Dahlia Seedling

    Some flowers are meant to stay outside and enjoyed as they go through their life cycle. These little mignon dahlias don’t do well as a cut flower, but make perfect places for solitary bees to bed down at night.

    Gingersnap Dahlia

    Gingersnap dahlias are one of the most productive varieties I grow and one I cannot get enough of. Their warm, butterscotch color is lovely and as they age the petals are brushed with soft pink. Stunning.
